I'm looking job for a stable and permanent employment! I have a lot of experience on different types of ships and engines. I was on the rebuilding and repair of ships, also Wartsilla courses in Holland and LMF Compressors training in Austria. Mi main Responsibilities Second Engineer: 1. Operating, maintaining, and repairing the main propulsion systems, all auxiliary systems, sewage, and the electrical generation - distribution systems. 2. Assisting the Chief Engineer in establishment of a safety and taking corrective action as situations require and as directed by the Chief Engineer. 3. Supporting the initiatives and ensuring the diesel engines are running at correct operational modes while establishing a goal for minimizing fuel usage and maximizing fuel efficiency. 4. Operation of the wastewater and bilge systems to ensure all oily water separators and filters are operating at peak efficiency 5. Ensuring that all waste generated from the engine department work practices is recorded, minimized, reduced, re-used, or recycled. 6. Ensuring all safety measures are taken during bunkering and during any transfer of oil products 7. Ensuring that vessel maintenance procedures are identified, prepared and implemented according to the plans as detailed by the Chief Engineer 8. Assisting with EHS audits as mandated by company policy and as directed by the Chief Engineer. 9. Maintaining official engine room logs, oil record books, waste logs and other necessary reports and forms as directed by the Chief Engineer 10. Participating in drills as directed by the Chief Engineer. 11. Assisting in the training of Engine Department crewmembers 12. Maintaining and updating the PMS (Planned Maintenance System) and relevant support publications and documentation as directed by the Chief Engineer 13. Standing watch in the engine room as directed by the Chief Engineer 14. Reviewing the spare part inventories for the engine department machinery and make recommendations for changes as required 15. Assisting with budget preparation for the engine department as requested by the Chief Engineer 16. Monitoring and ensuring cost control and informing the Chief Engineer of any expected overruns if identified 17. Working in close co-operation with the Chief Engineer to plan and initiate mechanical maintenance on deck and galley components such as the FRB, Workboat, davits, winches cranes, reefers, freezers or chill boxes, ranges and ventilation fans. 18. Providing information for handover reports for the oncoming rotation as requested by the Chief Engineer 19. Following the onboard chain of command structure and duties assigned under the Station Bill 20. Assisting with the Engine Department filing system in accordance with the standard set forth by the Company and as requested by the Chief Engineer.
