My name is Butushan Vladimir. I am a Gas Engineer, and I working in this position since 2022. 2001 and started my career as a motorman. Later, I worked as a Third Engineer on tankers and LPG vessels until 2018. In 2018, I joined Höegh as a Third Engineer on LNG vessels. After several years, in 2022, I was promoted to Gas Engineer. I worked in this position until 2025. Unfortunately, my contract was not renewed because the company reduced crew positions. They also needed more local crew on board for certain projects — for example, in France, Germany, Brazil, and Australia. Result, experienced officers, including myself, were not re-employed.
